The Miami Hurricanes just signed another top ten recruiting class, ranked the #10 class in the country. On Thursday, head coach Mario Cristobal announced the signing of 30 new recruits, a schools record.
In 2026, the maximum roster cap will rise to 110 players. Schools are reshaping their rosters and recruiting strategy accordingly. Coach Cristobal and his staff quickly adjusted to the new landscape and are now focused on the upcoming 2027 class.
Traditionally, schools have focused on landing 5-6 core prospects in each class. In this new environment, with the increased roster and the annual impact of the transfer portal, the number of core targets could grow to around a dozen new prospects.
To date, Miami has received four non-binding verbal commitments including Edge Demarcus Deroche, WR Ah'Mari Stevens, S Jaylyn Jones and OT Zaquan Linton.
As such, CaneReports will periodically review OUR top twelve remaining UNSIGNED targets (one for each position group.)
EDITOR’S NOTE: This is a very early analysis of Miami's scholarship offers. We expect the Canes to double their scholarship offers, thus impacting our list. Check back often for the latest Miami developments on the recruiting trail.
