NOTE: Sophomore Luka Gilbert has been lost for the season (injury) and is not included in this depth chart.

Gavin Mueller:

This true freshman has generated significant buzz since arriving in January. He's a potential pass receiving threat and a willing blocker. Can he adjust quickly and become a trusted backup?

BOTTOM LINE:

With the season-ending injury to Luka Gilbert, Miami is thin on line-in blocking tight ends. McConathy will need to fill that gap or a true freshman such as Mueller or veteran Jack Nickel will need to be the next man up.
