Emerging ’27 QB?

On Wednesday, Miami has entered the race for elite 2027 quarterback prospect Israel Abrams (Arlington Heights, IL - Montini Catholic).

At 6’4”/187, Abrams is rated 97, ranked the #5 QB prospect and the #61 overall prospect is the 2027 recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite.

Abrams brings a powerful arm with a rapid release. He also has good touch and anticipation. Works well through progressions. Excellent pocket mobility and presence. Abram is a dangerous RPO threat.

In 2025, passed for 4,072 yards, 40 TD, 6 INT (68.5%) while also rushing for 224 yards (2.7 YPC) and 10 TD.

Among his 25 scholarship offers, Purdue, Auburn, FSU, and Kentucky are his current projected leaders.

Can Miami become a viable contender? Coach Dawson must get Adams on campus.
