KEYS to the GAME: FAMU

September 9, 2046 -

Miami opened their season with a dominating win, 45-6, over Stanford in Palo Alto. The Canes return home to host FCS Florida A&M (1-1, 1-1 SWAC) on Thursday.

Miami (1-0, 1-0 AC) used 13 true freshmen in the Stanford game. We expect Mario Cristobal and staff will have that opportunity to get our young players more game experience.

Here are our three KEYS to the Game against the Rattlers.

POUND the ROCK:

The Rattlers gave up 292 rushing yards last weekend. Make them stop your running game. It will also give the new offense line the opportunity to get valuable snaps in that phase of the game.

PIN your EARS BACK:

FAMU posted negative rushing yards last week and were forced to pass. Miami defensive line must keep the pressure on the Rattler’s Isaiah Knowles.

PLAY the KIDS:

Miami will again have the opportunity to get the younger players valuable game experience. It may impact the final score (rankings), but it will be smart investment come late in the season.

BOTTOM LINE:

Florida A&M is a struggling FCS program. Miami should handle their business on Thursday.
