Miami Lost & Eliminated

Miami was defeated by #3 Georgia Tech, 9-3, on Saturday. The loss eliminated the Canes from the ACC Tournament in the semifinals.
Georgia Tech (47-9) won its 12th consecutive game over an ACC opponent and has won 10 of their last 11 overall.
Miami’s pitching collapsed and the offense could get runners home. Miami starter AJ Ciscar allowed three home runs and the Yellow Jackets quickly jumped to a 7-0 lead. Ciscar (5-4) went 3 2/3 innings, gave up six runs on seven hits and six runs in 3 2/3 innings.
At the plate, Miami (38-18) collected nine hits and had four runners in scoring position in the first five innings but went 1 for 8, stranding all four runners.
Miami must now wait for their seeding in the NCAA Tournament. The Canes are projected to be a 2-seed at the Austin Regional according to D1Baseball. The Selection Show is on Monday at 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
