Momentum… Get it back!

Over the pass month, it feels like Miami has lost its recruiting momentum. Miami's 2027 recruiting class went from being ranked #8 in the country at the beginning of April to #17 today.

The Canes have lost recruiting battles for RB Myson Johnson-Cook, WR Jaden Upshaw, TE Jaxon Dollar, and S Zayden Gamble, while losing the commitment of WR Ah'Mari Stevens to LSU. Other elite targets like OT Mark Matthews and LB Kaden Henderson are reported to now be trending to Texas A&M and/or LSU. However, media outlets continue to paint a rosy picture for a number of blue chip prospects on Miami’s board.

If our Canes have lost some recruiting momentum, how can the staff quickly recover and get the Canes back on track?

That’s easy, land some blue chip targets. Who?

OT Mark Matthews

LB Kaden Henderson

RB Ty Keys

DT David Folorunsho

IOL Jatori Williams

DT Brayden Parks

LB Aroson Randle Jr.

DT Ezekiel Ayangbile

OT Oluwasemilore Olubobola

LB Noah Glover

OT Joshua Sam-Epelle

AND “Flip” …

EDG DJ Jacobs (Ohio State)

CB Donte Wright (Georgia)

Add these 13 blue chippers and Miami’s class is right back in the race for a top ten ranking.

Obviously, this will be an uphill challenge. However, Mario has built a reputation of doing exactly this.

GO CANES!
