As is our tradition after a victory, CaneReports, honors Canes who performed at the highest level and impacted Miami’s win.

Here are the Canes who earned a “GAME BALL” for their efforts in victory.

On Monday, Malachi was named The Associated Press national player of the week Monday for at the second time this season. So far this season, Malachi has caught 66 passes for 952 yards and 11 touchdowns.

QB Darian Mensah:

Darian continues to lead the Canes’ offense with a surgeon’s precision. On Saturday, he threw for 387 yards, going 31 of 37 passes and four touchdowns. Darian averaged 10.5 yards per attempt. On Monday, he was named one of eight Manning Award Stars of the Week and received honorable mention as The Associated Press national player of the week.

DB JJ Dunnigan:

True freshman DB JJ Dunnigan continues to build a Freshman All-American resume. Against Pitt, he posted 5 tackles (tied for team high), 1 sack and 1 TFL. His presence caused havoc all day with the Panthers. His versatility has become a valuable asset for the Canes.
