#1 Miami (7-0, 5-0 ACC) travels to Chapel Hill, N.C. on Saturday night to take on North Carolina (4-3, 2-2 ACC) on Saturday a Kenan Stadium.

Here are three KEYS to a Miami victory…

1. WIN in the Trenches

North Carolina has struggled on the offensive line due to inconsistency, while the defensive line is banged up for this game. Miami must control both lines with pressure on Billy Edwards and the offensive line must establish the power run game (Fletcher, Mallory & Lyle) and then pick their spots to make explosive plays vertically.

2. Control Two Receivers:

The Tar Heels do not have much of a vertical passing attack. However, they do have two dangerous playmakers in the short to medium ranges in tight end Jelani Thurman and wide receiver Jordan Shipp. Control them and force Edwards to go vertical. Miami pass rush can then force critical mistakes.

3. STAY HEALTHY:

The Canes are still banged up and must not add to the ranks of the injured. Miami needs to continue getting healthy. No major injuries this week.

BOTTOM LINE:

North Carolina does not match up very well with Miami due to a lack of depth and talent on their roster. Take advantage and we should take care of business.
