Miami took a major step forward on Thursday rebuilding their pass rush when former Missouri edge Damon Wilson announced he will transfer to Miami.

Damon chose Miami over Texas Tech and LSU. He has one year of eligibility remaining. He is Miami’s seventh incoming transfer in this cycle.

At 6’4”/250, Damon is rated 96, ranked the #3 edge and #8 overall player in the portal this cycle. He is a projected NFL draft prospect in 2027.

In 2025, Damon totaled 54 quarterback pressures as one of the college football’s most disruptive pass rushers. He’s a veteran edge who will bring 26 SEC games of experience and production to a talented but relatively young and experienced young group of studs at the position.
