With the changes in the NCAA recruiting calendar and roster limit, it’s not too early to begin 2027 prospect evaluations. Today, we take our first swing at potential tight end targets.
OVERVIEW:
The Canes are projected to go into 2025 with seven tight ends (Alex Bauman, Hunter Carver, Jackson Carver, Luka Gilbert, Elija Lofton, Jack Nickel, Brock Schott). Bauman will exhaust his eligibility after the 2026 season.
Miami prefers to have 5–6 tight ends on the roster. We expect the Canes to sign one or two tight ends in the 2027 recruiting class.
At this time, Miami has verbally offered scholarships to fourteen (14) tight ends in the 2027 recruiting class. Here are our EARLY picks for 2027 TOP of the Board.
