Miami head coach Jai Lucas has reinforced his backcourt recently with the additions former Indiana transfer guard Nick Dorn and former St. Peter’s transfer shooting guard Brent Bland.

At 6’-7”/225, Nick Dorn averaged 8.1 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 38% from 3-point range. In 2025-26, Nick played 30 games, made 12 starts and averaged 23.2 minutes. He is known for his ability from long range, making 74 three-point shots over his college career. Nick scored in double figures 11 times last season.

At 6’-3”/205, Brent Bland brings experience to Miami’s front court. In 2025-26, the senior guard started all 29 games for Saint Peter’s, averaging 13.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game. He shot 38.8% from the field, 36.9% from 3-point range and 78.3% from the line, making 79 threes on 214 attempts.

Miami went 26-9 last season, finished 13-5 in the ACC and reached the NCAA Tournament. The Hurricanes' 19-win improvement tied the NCAA record for the largest single-season turnaround, and their 24 regular-season wins matched a program record.
