CANES moving on UP…

The Associated Press released their weekly college football rankings on Sunday. As a result of last weekend’s action, there’s a new #1 team, the Texas Longhorns. Texas beat Ohio State, 24-23, in dramatic comeback style. The Buckeyes dropped to #6.

Rounding out the AP Top Ten were Georgia, Notre Dame, Indiana, Miami. Ohio State, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Alabama.

Miami (2-0, 1-0 ACC) moved up two spots from #7 to #5 after a dominant 77-7 win over Florida A&M. The Canes remain the highest ranked ACC team, withSMU (#16), Louisville (#23) and Virginia (#25).

The Canes go back on the road this week to take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (2-0, 0-0 ACC) in Winston-Salem on Friday. Miami is 9-3 all-time against Wake. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN.
