The off-season is in the books. It’s now time to prepare for Fall Camp and the 2026 season. Head Coach Mario Cristobal and his staff have assembled a roster ready to compete for championships. Miami has donn an excellent job of talent retention and acquisition this off-season. The only question is who will step up to lead our Canes this season.
This series will focus on the potential competition for the starting and backup roles at each position. Our projections of each depth chart are just that, not the actual depth charts. Every Cane must earn their position on the depth chart. No freebies
Let’s get started!
Ryan Rodriguez
Senior | #76 | 6’-2” / 300
Ryan brings the most game experience all along the interior line, playing key backup roles over his Miami career. In 2026, he will get his opportunity to anchor Miami’s line in a starting role.
Seuseu Alofaituli
Sophomore | #65 | 6’-2” / 290
Seuseu came out of high school as four-star prospect and the #10 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 national recruiting class, After a year of development under Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal, he will get his opportunity to break out this season.
Rhys Woodrow
Freshman | #57 | 6'-4" / 315
Rhys is a true freshman. He brings size, strength, athleticism, toughness, versatility and smarts as a freshman. Can play either center or guard but projects as a potential starting center at the college level. He will be adjusting to the speed and complexity of the college game this year.
JJ Sparks
Freshman | #55 | 6’3” / 305
JJ is starting his college career this season. He came out of high school as three-star prospect and the #91 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 national recruiting class. The staff is very impressed with his base skill set and projects JJ as a potential starter down the line.
BOTTOM LINE:
Miami has experienced talent at the top and potential young underclassmen with starting talent. Can this room step up to compete on the national stage?
