After a drama-filled transfer process, former Duke quarterback Darian Mensah and Duke University announced a settlement agreement on Tuesday.

At 6’-3”/205, Darian is now able to enroll at another school. ZIt’s been heavily rumored he will transfer to Miami. If so, he will be Miami’s 11th incoming transfer in this cycle. He has one year of eligibility remaining after one year at Duke and two years at Tulane.

In 2025, Darian threw for 3,973 yards (66.8%), 34 touchdowns, with only 6 interceptions. He is rated 94, the #6 quarterback and the #18 overall player in the transfer portal this cycle.

He would join Luke Nickel, Judd Anderson and true freshman Dereon Coleman in Miami’s quarterback room in 2026. Darian is expected to compete for the starting role at Miami.
