Injuries mounting…update

Miami is still undefeated after defeating Wake Forest this past Friday, 33-20. However, injuries are taking a toll.

Miami head coach Mario Cristobal appeared on his weekly segment of The Joe Rose Show on Monday morning. He gave an update on the team’s injury situation.

RB CharMar Brown was injured in the game with a lower extremity injury and is lost for the season. As RB2, Marty was an important part of Miami’s running attack

WR Josh Moore sustained an upper extremity jury and is lost for the season. Josh is second on the team with 107 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

LB Ezekiel Marcelin sustained a lower extremity injury and is out for a few weeks. He currently ranks third on the team with nine tackles and one tackle for loss.

Others players including DT Ahmad Moten, WR Malachi Toney and RB Mark Fletcher “got banged up” but are expected to return to action this season.

BOTTOM LINE:

Miami is deep and talented at both running back and wide receiver. But that depth is being tested at this time. “Next man up” is in full swing in Coral Gables.
