February 17, 2026:

Miami is coming off a CFP run that took them to the national championship game. Head coach Mario Cristobal intends to take advantage of their playoff run while on the 2027 recruiting trail.

Miami’s 2027 recruiting class currently has four verbal commitments and ranks as the #19 class in the nation and #6 class in the ACC. But make no mistake, Cristobal is playing the long game and intends to finish with a top 5 class in December.

It’s still very early in the cycle, but our team at CaneReports recently selected our most wanted non-committed prospects.

Let’s take a look… by position

* committed elsewhere

Quarterback:

Trent Seaborn*

Our first “flip” candidate. While still evaluating other projects, Miami wants Seaborn badly.

Running Back:

Tyson Robinson, Myson Johnson-Cook,

Miami will take two running backs to reload this room for 2027.

Wide Receiver:

Nick Lennear, Monshun Sales, Jaden Upshaw

Again, Miami will reload in 2027.

Tight End:

Malik Howard, Ahmad Hudson

TE-U, baby!

Offensive Tackle:

Mark Matthews, Joshua Sam-Epelle

The #1 offensive line coaches brings more talent and size in 2027.

Interior Offensive Line:

Sean Tatum, Reed Ramsier

See OT above.

Edge:

DJ Jacobs, KJ Green

Our future Bain and Mesidor.

Defensive Tackle:

Jalen Brewster*, Jamar Thompson

Miami keeps Thompson home and “flips” a monster from Texas.

Defensive End:

Xavier Muhammad, Xavier Perkins

Miami keeps stacking talent on the defensive line.

Linebacker:

Kaden Henderson, Roman Igwebuike, Noah Glover

Coach Hetherman reloads for the future.

Cornerback:

Hayden Stepp, JuJu Johnson, Zayden Gamble

Miami is in a good position here.

Safety:

Honor Fa'alave-Johnson, KJ Caldwell

Iron sharpens iron.

BOTTOM LINE:

Miami will reap the rewards from their 2025 CFP run. The best want to play with the best.

GO CANES!
