Mario Cristobal and his staff welcomed defensive tackler DeMarco Jenkins (Pearland, Texas) to Miami’s 2027 recruiting class on Sunday.

DeMarco is the 16th verbal commitment to Miami’s class, now ranked #4 in the nation and #1 in the ACC. He chose Miami over SMU and TCU, among his twenty-seven scholarship offers.

DeMarco joins DT Josh Johnson and DE Ezekiel Ayangbile and EDGE Jayvon Dawson in Miami’s class

At 6’-3”/307, DeMarco is rated 89, ranked the #51 defensive lineman and #439 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite.

DeMarco brings athleticism, quickness size, length power and playmaking ability. In 2025, DeMarco registered 48 tackles 17 tackles for loss,, 7 sacks, and 2 pass breakups.
