Miami resolved its kicking situation on Friday by landing the commitments of two kickers in the transfer portal. Former Florida State kicker Jake Weinberg and former Northwestern kicker Jack Olsen announced they are transferring to Miami for the 2026 season.


Jake Weinberg (Florida State)

Weinberg is a native of Boca Raton, Florida and played for Delray Beach (Fla.) American Heritage. Coming out of high school, he was ranked the #2 kicking prospect in the 2024 class.


In 2025, Jake went 12-of-19 on field goal attempts. He has a very strong leg, as evidenced by forcing a touchback on every kickoff this season. He has three years of eligibility remaining.


Jack Olson (Northwestern)

Miami also received a commitment from former Northwester kicker Jack Olsen. In 2025, Jack hit 19-of-21 attempts and finished 24-of-25 on extra point attempts. His 90.5 percent hit rate finished seventh-best nationally in 2025.


For his career, Jack has hit 40-of-51 career attempts. He very accurate from short to medium range, including a perfect 14-of-14 from 30-49 yards.
