Late Wednesday, Miami got some very good news on the 2028 recruiting trail when four-star offensive lineman Kweli Fielder (Carrollton, GA. - Carrollton) gave his verbal commitment to Miami and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal.

At 6’-4”/310, Kweli is rated 97, ranked the #3 IOL and the #59 overall prospect in the 2029 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
From among his 35 scholarship offers, Kweli chose Miami over Ohio State, Texas A&M, Georgia, South Carolina, and Clemson.
Kweli visited Miami twice this summer, once to attend the Legends Camp where he got the opportunity to work with Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal. He is a versatile lineman, who can play either tackle or guard. He's big, agile and smart. His elite 83-inch wingspan and excellent feet were very impressive.

Here’s 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins’ early evaluation…
“Youthful big man that got varsity reps as a 9th grader. Likely to offer tackle-guard versatility on Saturdays and has already worked at both spots. Excells as a drive blocker and could thrive in a zone-heavy scheme. Nimble mover at this stage that plays with patience and balance. Tracking to start college well before 18th birthday. Might need time in an incubator, but has all-conference potential if it all comes together.”
BOTTOM LINE:
Miami continues to stack massive and talented trench warriors.
Welcome to the U, Kweli! Welcome to the family!
GO CANES!
