August 21, 2026 - LSU transfer power forward Robert Miller signed with Miami on Friday.

At 6’-10”/230, Robert is the 14th member of the 2026-27 Hurricane team. The Texas native is a rising junior and is expected to reinforce Miami’s front court with his physical presence, both offensively and defensively.

"He plays with great energy, protects the rim and is an efficient finisher around the basket", said Miami head coach Jai Lucas in a released statement. “He brings the type of toughness, versatility and experience that fits our program.”

In 2025-26, Robert averaged 6.1 points on 65.7-percent shooting, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 31 games, and two starts.

Robert joins Georgia transfer Somto Cyril, transfer Egor Ryzhov and freshmen Caleb Gaskins and Chris Birden in Miami’s front court to form a formidable rotation. It is also speculated that former power forward Malik Reneau, who is attempting to return to college for a fifth year and second with the Canes, will fill Miami’s last roster spot.

247Sports Analyst Brandon Jenkins filed this scouting report on Robert on 6/24/23.

“Miller is easily one of the more naturally talented and gifted prospects the national 2024 class has to offer. Prospects who can handle, shoot, and pass off a live dribble the way he does at his size do not come around often. More comfortable on the perimeter, Miller loves to create off the bounce, hunt three-point jumpers, and looks as elite as they come when all things are clicking. Factor in his potential as a rim protector on the defensive end and he brings a unique level of two-way upside that is extremely tough to ignore. His kryptonite is his level of "want to" and consistency. There are times when Miller's body language and competitive edge or lack thereof leaves a lot to be desired. He got off to a hot start during his final two grassroots seasons but closed out both summers on a quiet note. Developing the passion to be productive on a consistent basis could determine how long he stays in the college game. Miller is a Brandon Miller type of talent but he himself will ultimately determine how far he wants to go in the game.”

WELCOME to the U, Robert! Welcome to the family!

GO CANES!
