Miami landed a verbal commitment from four-star IOL Sean Tatum (Fort Pierce, FL - John Carroll) on Friday.

At 6’-3.5”/317, Sean is the ninth commitment to Miami’s 2027 recruiting class. He is rated 93, the #10 IOL and #189 overall prospect in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. Miami’s class is now ranked #6 in the nation and #1 in the ACC.

With 28 scholarship offers to date, Sean chose Miami over Florida, Tennessee and Auburn.

A multi-sport athlete and is young for his grade. He competes in both football and track (shot put).

Sean has impressive mobility for his size and the power to match. At this stage, he’s a massive road grader who finishes blocks with a pancake mentality. He must develop his pass blocking skills so it may take some development time before he’s ready for the field. Has the potential to be a top level guard at the Power 4 level.
