The Canes got more good news on Sunday. Former LSU third baseman Trent Caraway (San Juan Capistrano, CA - JSerra Catholic) is transferring to Miami.

Trent, a rising senior, bats right-handed at 6’-2”/205. In 2026, Trent hit .243 with three doubles, one triple, two home runs, 16 RBIs and one stolen base with a .713 OPS in 30 games with 24 starts.
This will be Trent’s second transfer. In 20024-25, he played at Oregon State. In 2025, he hit .267 with 12 home runs and 47 RBI. He brings good speed from the lead-off spot.
As a high school senior, Trent was California Gatorade Player of the Year.
Trent is the 11th player to transfer to Miami, which has the No. 5-ranked incoming transfer class and #1 in the ACC. He is currently playing in the Cape Cod Baseball League
