Miami received a verbal commitment from OT prospect Tyler Ford (Gainesville, GA - Gainesville) on Wednesday evening.

At 6’6”/325, Tyler is rated 87, ranked the #59 and the #661 overall prospect in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Among Tyler’s 24 scholarship offers, he chose Miami over such schools as Georgia, Texas A&M, Florida, Auburn, and Florida State.

While still young and raw, Tyler is already a road grader. With more development of his pass protection skills and attention to body development, he will fit perfectly the mold of a Miami trench hog and a future multiyear starter.

Tyler joins Sean Tatum and Zaquan Linton in Miami’s 2027 offensive line class. Miami would like to add one more big body up front, OT Mark Matthews, to complete an excellent offensive line haul.

Miami now has 10 verbal commitments to the 2027 recruiting class, now ranked #4 in the nation and #1 in the ACC, according to the 247Sports Composite.
