BOOM! Welcome to the U, Brysen Wright

Nov. 6, 2026 -
Miami struck again on the recruiting trail on Thursday. Jacksonville Mandarin wide receiver Brysen Wright announced both his commitment to Miami and his reclassification from the 2028 class to the 2027 class.
Prior to his reclassification, the 6’3.5”/215 prospect was rated 99, ranked the #1 wide receiver and #3 overall prospect in the 2028 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite. After his reclassification, Brysen is expected to be a borderline 5-star in the 2027 Miami recruiting class.
Brysen chose Miami from among his 32 scholarship offers, with Miami, Texas and Florida as his finalists
As a sophomore in 2025, the Jacksonville native caught 46 passes for 983 yards (21.9 YPC) and 10 TD while adding 55 tackles, 5 INT and 5 PBU on defense. He is also a multi-sports star, playing basketball for Mandarin.

Andrew Ivins, Director of Scouting for 247Sports, filed this scouting report in August.
“Big aerial specialist with plenty of viral moments to his name. Believed to be north of 6-foot-3 and hovering somewhere around 210 pounds. Can manufacture space like few others in recent cycles and turn 50-50 passes into 80-20 propositions with his bounce, coordination and extension. Uses power to meet throws in traffic and by the sideline. Quick to capitalize on RAC opportunities with his vision and momentum. Consistently creates opportunities for his quarterback at all three levels, but can be more of a one-speed route runner that lacks ideal separation quickness. Showcases desired physicality on defense while doubling as a safety and can bring it as a perimeter blocker when engaged. Must buy into the process, but projects as a high-volume target on Saturdays that can be positioned around formations while hunting matchups.”
Welcome to the U, Brysen! Welcome to the family!
GO CANES!
