Canes baseball off to a roaring start

No. 17 Miami (10-0) is off to a roaring start to their 2026 season after beating Florida Atlantic, 11-7, in comeback fashion on the road Wednesday.

FAU (3-4) took a 7-4 lead into the ninth. Then… BOOM! The Canes bats came alive. Brylan West clubbed a go-ahead two-run double as part of a seven-run rally. Daniel Cuvet hit a two-run home run and Jake Ogden had a three-run double.

The Miami victory now sets up a big three-game series against No. 10 Florida (9-1) on Light Field. The first game of the series has a 7:00 p.m. first pitch with coverage on ACCN.
