Miami got blown out by Stanford, 14-6, on Sunday at Klein Field.

The Canes pitching was brutal, with starter AJ Ciscar got bombed, going up 6 runs in 2 2/3 innings and reliever Sebastian Santos-Olson (0-1) allowing three runs in 1 1/3 innings down the stretch.

Miami (29-11, 10-8 ACC) got out to a fast start, scoring two runs in the first inning. Jake Ogden delivered a lead off double, moved to third on a ground out. Alex Sosa followed by with a sacrifice fly and Miami had the lead. Derek Williams then worked a walk, Brylan West added a single, and Max Galvin lined an RBI single into right field to bring home another run and extend the Hurricanes’ lead to 2-0.

The rest was all Stanford.

Miami did win the series with wins in the first two games.

Miami returns to action on Wednesday at FAU, with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. and live coverage on ACCNX and WVUM 90.5 FM.

GO CANES!
