Miami’s bats went stone cold on Saturday night, losing to Wake Forest, 3-1.
The Canes were held to only three hits by Wake starter Troy Dressler (5-1), who threw six scoreless innings for the Demon Deacons win.
Miami (26-9, 7-7 ACC) wasted an excellent start from pitcher Lazaro Collera (3-2), who tossed seven innings giving up two runs on five hits while striking out six Demon Deacons.
At the plate, Miami was held to only 2-13 with runners on base.
The three-game series is tied at one game apiece going into the rubber game on Sunday. First pitch is set for 1:00 p.m. ET, with coverage on ACCNX and WVUM.
