In a see-saw game, Miami used a squeeze bunt in the ninth inning to defeat Florida Atlantic, 5-4, on Wednesday night.

Miami (30-11) jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings. FAU rallied to tie the game in the fourth inning and then took the lead, 4-3. Miami bullpen then took control and slammed the door on the Owls. Reliever Packy Bradley-Cooney entered and threw 2 2/3 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts before handing it over to Jake Dorn (5-0) who threw a scoreless eighth and Lyndon Glidewell pitched a clean ninth for his first save in his first opportunity.

At the plate, the Canes’ Gabriel Milano hit his third home run of the season, subbing for Daniel Cuvet. Brylan West hit an RBI double and Derek Williams had a sacrifice fly and scored the tying run in the eight inning.

That set up the the ninth inning heroics by Jake Ogden. The ninth started with a Vance Sheahan Vance Sheahan walk and Milano followed with a base hit. Ogden drove in the winning with a squeeze bunt to score Sheahan.

Miami will host California this weekend for a three-game series starting on Friday. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m. ET. Coverage on ACCNX and WVUM.

GO CANES!
