Miami’s biggest off-season talent acquisition was former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck. He’s came to Coral Gables to prove his health and establish himself as a Round One NFL Draft prospect.
Beck underwent surgery on his right elbow to repair his ulnar collateral ligament, which he injured on the final play of the SEC championship game in early December. His rehab has gone very well this winter and in spring practice.
At the ACC spring meetings this week, Miami head coach Mario Cristobal announced on Monday that Beck, "He's good to go.”
Cristobal shared that Beck has been throwing over the past three weeks, but not to his receivers. Moving forward, all eyes will be on his progress at practices.
Beck, as Georgia's starter over his two seasons, went 24-3 and threw for 7,426 and 57 total touchdowns.
Cristobal concluded, “He's exceeding every benchmark.”
GO CANES!
