Accolades are already rolling in for our Hurricanes. On Wednesday, five Miami Hurricanes were named CBS Sports All-Americans, including OT tackle Francis Mauigoa, OC James Brockermeyer, WR Malachi Toney, DE Rueben Bain, and CB Keionte Scott.

Mauigoa and Brockermeyer were named to the first-team while Bain, Toney and Scott received second-team honors.

At 6’6”/335, Mauigoa, projected first round NFL Draft pick, turned in the nation's fourth-best pass-blocking grade (88.3) and the 12th-best run-blocking grade (80.8) per PFF. He allowed just two sacks on the season and nine quarterback pressures.

At 6’-3”/295, Brockermeyer turned in an elite 82.7 pass-blocking grade, per PFF, and didn't allow a sack this season. He transferred to Miami from TCU in 2025.

Rueben Bain, at 6’-3”/270, is projected a top ten NFL Draft pick,. He was one of the most dynamic and disruptive defensive ends in all of college football in 2025. Rueben tied for the highest defensive grade for a defensive lineman (93.0), per PFF, with an elite 92.0 pass rushing grade, ranked ninth best nationally, and an 88.8 run defense grade, ranked third nationally. Rueben’s 58 quarterback pressures ranked No. 6 nationally.

Malachi Toney, named a second-team All-Purpose selection, was also recognized as the True Freshman of the Year after catching 84 passes for 970 yards and seven touchdowns, while rushing for 89 yards and a touchdown. He also threw for two touchdowns, and served as the team's primary punt returner.

Keionte Scott, a Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist, received an elite 90.3 defensive grade, fifth-best amongst defensive backs this season, along with a 90.9 grade against the run. Scott didn't allow a touchdown in coverage this season, intercepted one pass, which he returned for a touchdown, and broke up four more passes. He was well on his way to becoming a finalist for the award given to the nation's top defensive back before suffering a late-season injury that sidelined him for the final three games.

Congratulations, to our Hurricane All-Americans!

GO CANES!
