FOOTBALL is back! Spring Game today

More than 5,000 Miami fans will get their first glimpse of the Hurricanes on Saturday at Cobb Stadium for the Spring Game.

Saturday morning will begin with an autograph session, followed practice drills and a non-traditional practice game.

"The first half will be practice and the reason being, I just felt like we don't want to compromise a day of technique and fundamental work that we can do, not only do we feel that's important, but also the opportunity to create some one-on-ones, two-on-two work with the receivers, DBs, O-line, D-line, linebackers, and running back before we transition into some third-down work and then some live football," said head coach Mario Cristobal.

"So we will play live football on Saturday. So it'll be an extended practice. We'll be in full pads. We've been in full pads in kind of all spring, but an opportunity to get better."

Fans will get to see the newcomers and veterans, including transfer quarterback Darian Mensah wide receiver Malachi Toney and freshman offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, among more than 100 players.

Football is back! If for only one day. Today’s spring game potentially marks the beginning of a special season.
