GONE! Gerald Pringle

News broke late on Wednesday that Miami running back Gerald Pringle intends to enter the transfer portal. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

At 5’-10”/190, Gerald is a rising sophomore who flashed very high upside in limited action as a freshman in 2025. He brings quickness, burst and toughness. Gerald is considered a change-of-pace back with a skillset made for a power spread attack.

In 2025, Gerald rushed for 375 yards (6.05 YPC) and 4 touchdowns. He added 53 yards on four receptions and 1 touchdown. Remember, he was a true freshman.

However, Miami returns a packed running back room that includes Mark Fletcher, ChaMar Brown and Jordan Lyle (from injury). The Canes are very talented and deep at running back. It makes sense Pringle wants a better opportunity to play in 2026.
