The Hurricanes went on the road to Orlando and beat the UCF Knights with their bats on Wednesday night.

Miami (13-4) clubbed 14 hits including clutch hits with men on base (9 for 23). Alonzo Alvarez knocked in three runs, Daniel Cuvet drove in two runs, Jake Ogden homered, Derek Williams drove in a run and Brylan West had three hits and one RBI.

That’s hitting, folks.

On the mound, Miami’s pitching wasn’t much better, giving up 12 hits but held the Knights to only 4 for 18 (.222) with runners on base.

UCF tried to rally and closed the gap to 6-5 in the sixth inning. But the Canes pulled away for the victory.

Miami continues their road trip at Duke (13-6, 1-2 ACC) this Friday for three-game series. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m. with coverage on ACCNX.

GO CANES!
