WELCOME to the U, Acaden Lewis!

On Tuesday, Miami landed Villanova transfer point guard Acaden Lewis. He is considered the 20th-best player in the transfer portal this cycle. Acaden has three years of eligibility remaining.

Lewis was All-Big East Second Team and All-Freshman Team selection last season and instantly becomes the heir-apparent to graduating senior point guard Tre Donaldson.

At 6’-2”/180, Lewis was one of the best freshmen lead guards in college basketball last as a freshman, averaging 12.2 points and 5.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game. On defense, he relentlessly puts pressure on opposing offenses, averaging 1.9 steals per game.

Acaden still has room for development, specifically with his shooting. While shooting 45.6% from the field, he shot only 27.0% from beyond the arc and 58.3% from the free-throw line.
