Miami landed one of the nation’s most efficient pass receivers in former Duke wide receiver Cooper Barkate on Tuesday.

Cooper is the 12th transfer to Miami in this cycle. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
At 6’-1”/195, Cooper is a intermediate range passing threat and top yards after catch production. In 2025, Cooper caught 72 passes for 1,106 yards and 7 touchdowns after two years at Harvard. He averaged 15.2 yards per catch, one of the highest rates in college football. Cooper turned in three 100-yard performances last season, against Clemson (127 yds), Georgia Tech (172 yds.) and Elon (117 yds).

Cooper joins former South Carolina WR Vandrevius Jacobs and former West Virginia WR Cam Vaughn in replacing CJ Daniels, Keelan Marion, NY Carr, and Tony Johnson in Miami’s talented wide receiver room.
Welcome to the U, Cooper! Welcome to the brotherhood.
GO CANES!
