Miami welcomed massive OT prospect Jacob Hawks (Hutchinson, KS) - Hutchinson Community College) as the tenth verbal commitment to the Miami's 2027 recruiting class on Saturday.

At 6’-9”/320, Jacob was on his official visit to Miami this weekend. He met the coaching staff, players and took in the 12th spring practice before quickly deciding to make his pledge to head coach Mario Cristobal and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal.

Jacob was the starting left tackle for Hutchinson Community College that finished with an 11-1 record and the junior college national runner-up.

Jacob is a raw talent who may need some development time. However, he brings something you can’t teach, size. He is a full academic qualifier with three years of remaining eligibility, plus a red shirt year. Jacob can enroll at Miami this summer.
