Miami point guard Tre Donaldson turned in another outstanding performance this week on his way to a career milestone. Against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Tre reached 1,000 career points, a goal of every college basketball player.


Over the last three games, Tre has led the Canes to victories over Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame, averaging 23.6 points per game.


Against Georgia Tech, he turned his fifth double-double of the season, scoring a career-high 27 points, with 10 assists. At Wake Forest, Tre posted 21 points and six assists.


Tre delivered another outstanding performance against the Fighting Irish with 23 points, five assists, and three steals, shooting 8-of-14 from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.


On the season, Donaldson is averaging 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game for the Canes.


Earlier in the week, Donaldson was named the ACC Player of the Week by the conference.
