On Monday, the ACC named Miami defensive end Rueben Bain Jr. the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week for his dominant performance in the Canes’ 26-7 win over rival Florida.

Rueben amassed 10 quarterback pressures, seven tackles, one tackle for loss and 0.5 sacks, earning a stellar 93.8 Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade.
Miami’s defense, anchored by Bain, limited the Gators to just 141 total yards of offense. Florida also failed to convert a single third down in thirteen attempts (0-13). The Canes’ defense allowed only 16 rushing yards on 22 attempts (0.7 yards per carry) and 125 passing yards on 31 attempts (4.0 yards per attempt).
