Miami recently completed it second 10-win season in a row, while capturing another top ten recruiting class in the nation.

Head coach Mario Cristobal and his staff have already begun to evaluate and offer scholarships to 2027 prospective prospects. To date, Miami has received FOUR non-binding verbal commitments.

In this edition of the CaneReports, we introduce the early targets at …

RUNNING BACK:

NEED: 1-2  |   MEDIUM PRIORITY  |
updated: 12/12/25

OVERVIEW: Miami's vaulted rushing attack is scheduled to return four backs (Mark Fletcher, Jordan Lyle,  CharMar Brown, Girard Pringle) Jr. ) In 2025, they will be joined by 2026 true freshman Javian Mallory.  None will exhaust their eligibility after the 2025 season. However, there is the real possibility Fletcher will elect to leave early for the NFL.  We may also experience a transfer. Miami prefers to carry five running backs because of the physical nature of the position. Look for the Canes to sign two running backs in the 2027 recruiting class.
