Canes beat Clemson, 8-6, win series

Miami (21-7, 4-5 ACC) used strong starting pitching and timely batting to defeat Clemson, 8-6, on Saturday on the road to win the series.
Miami starting pitcher Lazaro Collera (2-1) was strong in his outing, going six scoreless innings, giving cup five hits, two walks, while striking out two.
At the plate, Derek Williams blasted a grand slam and Alex Sosa provided another home run. Miami collected 11 hits, with Brylan West and Jake Ogden contributed key hits in the win.
The Canes return home to host FGCU on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. on Light Field. ACCNX will provide television coverage.
