Canes dominate Delaware State, 97-41

Miami (5-1) ran away from overmatched Delaware State on Sunday, 97-41, at the Watsco Center.
The Canes were led by Malik Reneau's double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Tre Donaldson scored 21 points with four 3-pointers. Salih Altuntas turned in his first double-double, with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Shelton Henderson chipped in 11 points as the Canes had four players with double-digits scoring.
Miami shot 61.3 percent (38 of 62) from the floor with 28 assists. Miami’s defense dominated. Delaware State (2-5) shot 25.9 percent (14 of 54) from the floor and had 19 turnovers.
Miami travels to Orlando to participate in the ESPN Events Invitational, facing No. 9 BYU (3-1) on Thursday. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. ET, with coverage on ESPN.
