Miami is coming off a major win over arch-rival Florida State, 83-73. on Tuesday.
Tre Donaldson pumped in 21 points while Malik Reneau scored his eight double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. The win brings Miami (22-6, 11-4 ACC) closer to returning to March Madness next month.
"It's always hard to win on the road for a game," said Miami head coach Jai Lucas. "Just one, it being a rivalry and there's always a lot of emotions. Of course, we had a player who was back home, playing back home for the first time, so that adds to it. And they are, you know, at least for me going through the year, they're one of the toughest teams to play just because of their size and what they do schematically... But for me, I'm just glad because our identity show, our offensive rebounding, our second-chance points, being on the glass, 42 rebounds. "
However, coach Lucas was not pleased with one glaring aspect of the game... turnovers. "The only thing I'm kind of pissed about right now is the 18 turnovers that led to 26 points for them. I thought we were having a good defensive game until we started getting them the ball."
Miami returns home on Saturday to take on Boston College. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. ET with coverage on ACCN.
GO CANES!
