True freshman Shelton Henderson led Miami with a season-high 18 points on the way to a 75-66 victory at Mississippi in the ACC-SEC Challenge on Tuesday night.

Miami (7-2) shot 49.1% (27 of 55) from the floor and hitting 44 percent from beyond the arc. Mississippi (5-3) was held to 34.8-percent (23 of 66) shooting.

In addition to scoring 18 points, Henderson was a presence on the boards, taking down 9 rebounds, had five steals and two blocked shots. Tru Washington added 17 points, Malik Reneau scored 15 points and Tre Donaldson contributed 11 points in the winning effort. Miami made a season-high 11 3-pointers, but also turned the ball over 19 times.

"It was definitely a team effort," said Miami head coach Jai Lucas after the game. "Everybody who came in the game contributed and then whenever you can get four guys in double figures in leads to having a good day. And I felt we battled, it wasn't perfect, it wasn't great, but we battled. Nineteen turnovers, we still win the game, but winning with 19 turnovers is amazing so we just fought, we won the glass, which is most important.”

Miami returns home on Saturday to host Southern Miss. Tip-off is stebfor 12:00 p.m. ET, with coverage on ACCN.
