No. 13 Miami soundly defeated Virginia Tech, 34-17, on Saturday in Blacksburg, Virginia.

After the game, head coach Mario Cristobal met with the press and addressed the game and the popular narratives surrounding his team.

"We're not slowing down because--some people call it style points and I'll just call it, we're playing ball and trying to make our team better and staying aggressive.

When we call it aggressive, our players play it aggressive. I think it's important to state that anyone who has ever played the game or coached the game because people could throw around the word, eye test. Well how about the field test where head-to-head matters. That's what football has always been about on the field, finding a way to get it done.

I'm proud of our guys today and looking forward to playing a great Pittsburgh team next week on the road again for a great opportunity for our program.”

Miami (9-2, 5-2) will finish its regular season next Saturday on the road as they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Pitt Panthers (8-3, 6-1 ACC).

GO CANES!
