Rumors have been swirling for the past week that Miami was in play for a quality quarterback not in the portal yet.

On Friday night, former Duke quarterback Darian Mensah announced his intention to enter the portal just before the midnight deadline.

Is Mensah the rumored quarterback?

At 6’-3”/205, Mensah could become Miami’s primary quarterback target this portal cycle.

In 2025, Mensah led Duke to the ACC Championship. He threw for 3,973 yards, 34 touchdowns with only 6 interceptions and a 66.8% completion rate.

Once Mensah is officially in the portal, Miami is expected to be a significant player in his recruitment.
