On Monday, the University of Miami and the University of South Carolina announced the cancellation of their future home-and home football series.

The Canes and Gamecocks were scheduled to meet at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C., on Sept. 5, 2026 and at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., on Sept. 18, 2027.

The cancellation is the result of both the SEC and ACC moving from an 8 game conference schedule to 9 conference games.

The ACC will move to a nine conference game schedule in 2027, thus necessitating Miami scheduling a replacement game in 2026. Miami currently has three scheduled non-conference opponents in 2026, (Florida A&M on Sept. 12, Central Michigan on Sept. 26 and at Notre Dame on a date to be announced).

2026:

Aug. 29 open

Sept. 5 open

Sept. 12 vs Florida A&M Hard Rock Stadium

Sept. 19 open

Sept. 26 vs Central Michigan Hard Rock Stadium

TBA at Notre Dame South Bend, IN

Additional schedule announcements should be coming in the near future.

GO CANES!
