Miami travels to Blacksburg, Virginia to take on the Hokies this Saturday at Lane Stadium. The Canes must win and win big to stay in contention for a playoff berth.

Virginia Tech has had a disaster season (3-7, 2-4 ACC). The Hokies are not a good team. However, they have some quality talent on the roster. They can be dangerous.

Therefore, we believe there is ONE KEY for Miami to beat Virginia Tech.

The strength of Virginia Tech is their rushing attack. Miami’s defensive line must take the run away from the Hokies. To do that, the Canes must contain QB Kyron Drones’ scrambling.

Drones has totaled 578 yards rushing and nine touchdowns on the ground. He’s an explosive play maker that could keep Virginia Tech in the game. Stop his ability to run and Miami will run away with a convincing victory.
