With less than eight weeks until the national early period starts, Miami is making its final push to complete their 2026 recruiting class. Mario Cristobal and his staff are scheduling official visits for November for the Canes' remaining 2026 targets.

Miami’s class currently stands at 23 verbal commitments, ranked at #12 in the nation and #1 in the ACC, with an average rating of 90.84.

This article will focus on the 2026 top remaining wide receiver targets.

Currently, Miami has three verbal commitments from wide receivers, including 4-star Vance Spafford, 4-star Somourian Wingo and 3-star Tyran Evans. A solid class but Cristobal is not finished yet. From all reports, Miami would like to take an additional wide receiver, preferably with a big-body profile.

Below are the potential targets.

For your reading pleasure, we will add OUR guess as to Miami’s chances to land each target.

Let’s go!

Wide Receivers:

Calvin Russell*

Hometown:  Miami, FL                      School:  Northwestern

HT: 6'-5"    |   WT:  190     |   Offers:  52   |  Rating:  97   |   Pos. Rank:  5  |   Overall Rank:  52

Status: COMMITTED   |  Top Tier:  Syracuse commit

Summary: Multi-sport athlete (basketball and track & field). "Gifted athlete with chance to be special on Saturdays and potentially even Sundays with his tools. Viewed as one of the top overall offensive talents.”

PROBABILITY: Calvin Russell is at the top of Miami’s board. However, it appears Calvin is strong with his commitments to Syracuse and Fran Brown. Miami will fight until the ink drys to keep this elite talent at home.

At this time, a FAIR chance to flip him.

Milan Parris

Hometown: Stow, OH        School: Walsh Jesuit

HT: 6'-5.5" |  WT: 205  |  Offers: 21  |  Rating: 92  |  Pos. Rank: 37  |  Overall Rank: 221

Status:  UNCOMMITTED   |  Top Tier:  Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon, Auburn

OV:  10/25/25        UOV: ---

Summary: De-committed from Iowa State. | Jumbo outside receiver with elite catch radius and 6'-9" wing span. Excellent body control and size/speed combination in 2026 class. | Could move to tight end if he gains mass at the next level. | 2024: Caught 28 passes (21.3 YPR) for 597 yards and 9 TD.

PROBABILITY: Miami is intrigued with this prospect. Milan checks all the boxes. However, the Canes are battling Oregon, Oklahoma and Auburn for this Ohio native.

At this time, a GOOD chance to flip him.

Jasen Lopez*

Hometown: Miami, FL        School:  Chaminade-Madonna

HT: 5'-10"    |   WT:  165     |   Offers:  28  |  Rating:  90   |   Pos. Rank:  50 |  Overall Rank:  319

Status: COMMITTED  |  Top Tier: FSU commit

OV:  6/20/25      UOV:  ---

Summary: Multi-sport athlete (basketball, football) | Has Miami basketball offer | Projected slot receiver | 2024 - 87 catches, 1,300 yards, 14 touchdowns; 2023 - 73 recep, 1,222 yards, 16 TD

PROBABILITY: Jasen is a local 4-star receiver who had early interest in Miami. However, he wants to also play basketball at the college level. It appears that may be a major hurdle for the Canes.

At this time, a POOR chance to flip him.

Marquez Daniel*

Hometown:  Tuskegee, AL             School:  Booker T. Washington

HT: 6'-5" | WT: 195  |  Offers: 29 |  Rating: 93 |  Pos. Rank: 28 |  Overall Rank: 179

Status: COMMITTED   |  Top Tier:  Florida commit

OV:  ---         UOV: ---

Summary: multi-sport athlete (basketball). Dynamic receiver with the size and the frame to be a dangerous red zone threat at the next level. Natural route running ability to create consistent separation. 2024 - 38 passes caught, 757 yds., 12 TDs

PROBABILITY: Given Florida’s current on-field and coaching issues, there have been reports of mutual interest here. This is worth monitoring. The big question…who will be Billy Napier’s replacement? It could be the deciding factor.

At this time, a POOR chance to flip him.

BOTTOM LINE:

Miami chances to reinforce their 2026 wide receiver rests with on-field performance, both for the Canes and our opponents.

GO CANES!
