Top of the Board: '27 Quarterbacks

Miami has started fast this season, going undefeated after four games. The Canes’ staff is taking advantage of their field success. At this time, Miami’s 2026 recruiting class has 22 verbal commitments, ranked #12 in the nation and #1 in the ACC. And Miami is not finished yet. Look for the Canes to drive strong to the finish line in December with Top Five class.

This article will focus on the Canes’ 2027 quarterback recruiting.

OVERVIEW:

With Carson Beck headed to the NFL, Miami will return four quarterbacks (Emory Williams, Judd Anderson, Luke Nickel), with true freshman Dereon Coleman arriving in 2026. Assuming no transfers after the 2025 season, Miami is expected roster five quarterbacks in the 2026. At this time, Miami has offered 15 scholarships to 2027 quarterbacks.

It’s still early, but things can change. Here are Miami’s primary targets at this time.

BOTTOM LINE:

While it’s still early in the cycle, traditionally quarterbacks go early. It appears Miami has narrowed their focus. It’s time to lock in their next quarterback.
