DT Frederic Sainteus (Naples, FL - St John Neumann) gave his verbal commitment to Miami on Wednesday evening. Frederic is the 23rd commitment to Miami’s 2026 recruiting class.
Frederic recently de-committed from FAU. He chose Miami over Florida, Michigan State and Wisconsin, among others.

At 6’-3.5”/273, Frederic is rated 84, ranked the #197 DL and #1995 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Frederic, a native of Haiti, immigrated with his family to the United States during his freshman year of high school due to the violence his country. It was then he took an interest in American football. He quickly drew a lot of attention from college coaches.

In 2024, Frederic competed in football, wrestling and track & field. He totaled 71 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and 6 QBH. It didn’t take long before college coaches began calling. While still very raw, his potential upside is off the charts.
Welcome to the U, Frederic! Welcome to the family!
GO CANES!
